North Carolina can be the 37th state to have medical marijuana legal in their state. In order to have the bill passed, the NC state senate Don Davis would like to see more medical research before moving forward. North Carolina residents and veterans are hopeful the bill passes as it would be a big alternative from prescriptions and opiates. As of right now, the Senate Bill 711 has already passed the judiciary committee, but it also needs to go through the NC Senate Finance and NC Rules Committee before going to a full vote through the NC Senate.
