It is well known that lots of veterans suffer from mental health conditions such as PTSD, anxiety and depression, as well as physical pain from their time served.

The current treatments for these conditions use harsher medicines, however, lawmakers are pushing to give our veterans a healthier alternative.

To file this legislation, democratic lawmakers, State Sen. Janet Cruz and state rep. Adam Hattersley, are working together.

If this passes, not only would service-disabled veterans be able to acquire medical marijuana cards for free, but they’d also be able to renew their cards for free.
